In November 2005, "Brie" was taken to the dog pound when she was only 8 months old. At that time pit bulls were not adopted to the public, so Brie was slated to be euthanized. The warden at that time said he thought Brie might be a boxer mix, and allowed SPA to rescue her.
She has been with us ever since. Brie lives in a foster home with ten other dogs, and her foster mom and dad love her and will take care of her for the rest of her life, but they would certainly consider adopting her to someone extra special, who could give Brie the one-on-one love she deserves all day, every day.
Brie is extremely friendly to humans... adults, children... and even to strangers, so she's not a good watch dog. She loves anyone who approaches her and wants nothing more than to kiss their face.
Her drawback is that she is not good with other dogs or cats. In fact she is not good with any other animals... but people...? SHE ADORES ALL PEOPLE.
She'd be perfect for an older couple with no other animals in their home and a fenced-in yard where she could play.
Yep, she still loves to play as she is a "young" eight years old! She's very intelligent and loves to go for rides in the car, and she rides well.
She's a bit chubbier than she use to be, but that's more doggie to love!
I took three new photos of her today, because the old photos (which I should have updated long before this) didn't show the character and "knowing" that are now there upon her face.
